Summary Video for Hayward Fault Scenario now available

A summary video for the 2010 update of the Hayward Fault Scenario has now been posted on EERI’s YouTube Channel.

The Hayward Fault Initiative is a project of the Northern California Chapter of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI). The goal of the initiative is to promote risk reduction locally, by providing updated information on the consequences of a Hayward fault earthquake and actively encouraging risk reduction programs. The full presentation describes the some possible effects of a Magnitude 7.0 Earthquake on the Hayward Fault based on a scenario event, and calls all bay area residents to action.

The full presentation consists of an introduction followed by 17 Chapters. The complete Hayward Fault Scenario presentation can be given in person by EERI NC Chapter members upon request. The full Hayward Fault Scenario report along with additional information about the Initiative can be found at Hayward Fault Initiative web page.
