August 18th 2012 Field Trip

Frank Rollo’s Walking Tour of Telegraph Hill and San Francisco’s waterfront

Frank Rollo is a San Francisco treasure, a geotechnical engineer with fascinating tales of San Francisco’s slides, settlement, slips, quarries, faults and fractures. Don’t miss Frank’s walking tour around the base of the Telegraph Hill and the nearby waterfront area, perhaps climbing the Filbert or Greenwich Steps. Keep an eye out for falling rocks and wild parrots!

When: August 18th, 2012, 10:30 AM sharp

Where: Meet on the plaza in front of 1500 Sansome Street, at the intersection of Sansome Street and the Embarcadero, San Francisco. This plaza is in front of the historic San Francisco Belt Railroad Roundhouse.

After our tour, join Frank and others for lunch at noon at Capurro’s Restaurant, 498 Jefferson Street, San Francisco.
