Bay Bridge Field Trip

On Wednesday July 24th, starting at 12pm, we will look at the new eastern Bay Bridge span. The tour starts with a short video presentation about the new East Span, its fabrication and seismic innovations. It then continues with a boat ride underneath the existing bridge and the new span. The total duration of the tour is approximately two hours.
This field trip is free but limited to 25 people due to the boat capacity. Therefore, Chapter members have priority. You can renew your membership now to take advantage of the priority placement!
In the event of rain or high wind speeds, the tour will be canceled.

Special Instructions: Attendees will not be allowed on the boat unless they are wearing long pants and hiking boots or work/construction boots. Sneakers and athletic footware will NOT be allowed on the boat. Additional safety instructions will be emailed to attendees few days before the event.
